The real problem, of course, is the Commissioner of Higher Education. You'll get a good look at his disastrous tenure - and our three interim leaders at UM - in this Helena blog post:
Please don't forget that the Commissioner has no MA and certainly no PhD. Let's not forget that Angela McLean signed-off on allowing such an unqualified individual to assume that position, either.
This'll cost us a quarter of a billion dollars when it's all said and done.
Considering the decline of the university over the past 5 years, perhaps those attendees shouldn't be making a combined $2 million in salary anymore.

They are progressive when it's time to take an easy, symbolic vote on something of little import. But when the rubber hits the road, and piles of public money are subsidizing private developers, they don't have the guts to stick with working people and taxpayers.
So, can we please stop calling them progressive?
