Re: “Best New Restaurant

Seems like last years best new restaurant shouldn't be calling itself best new restaurant.

Re: “Best Fresh Produce

Not a surprise that one of your largest advertisers has made your best list the umpteenth year in a row. Not all thier produce is 100% USDA organic, and there are other stores in Missoula, even if they don't advertise in the Independent.

You'll find solutions with this particular also. Like you'll find companies, that are delivering worker FAA Drug Testing solutions. It might be regular drug exams, random checking, etc. a few tests might be completed to have the ability to discover the drug abuse, from the worker. These companies mostly take advantage from the breath alcohol test or they provide the FAA Drug Testing g consortium to have the ability to discover the addiction. These kinds of exams carried out regularly after short occasions to have the ability to possess a check on the employees from the organization. Plus it sometimes can occur that the person is using drugs within the daily existence but he is not conscious that he's already addicted or becoming totally hooked on it. And this service helps people persons also so their addiction may emerged and so they could seek help. These businesses can be looked all around the internet, since most of them their particular websites. And so the drug testing solutions not only helps the business in identifying anybody who's addicted, it will help a person uncover that he's addicted that they needs help. You'll find several companies ready to provide these solutions, and many types of you ought to do in order to have the ability to hire a company is always to connect to the web.

Re: “Best Place to Eat Alone

This is utterly unhelpful because these three establishments are not restaurants. One is a taco stand, one is a pizza stand, and the other is a grocery store--obviously they're all suitable for eating alone, but what about actual restaurants with waitstaff and bars and tablecloths?

Re: “Best Liquor Store

A couple of years ago, I heard the owner of Grizzly Liquors deliver a vitriolic, ugly, hateful diatribe about the homeless. Ever since, I just can't bring myself to patronize that store, though it does indeed have a great selection.

Re: “Best Bartender

The K house doesn't employ bartenders. Bartenders mix drinks and they don't get off work at 8 pm.

Re: “Best Pizza

Thanks to this Reader's Pick winner, I brought my party of ten people (Welcome to Western Montana, where a virtual revolving door of out-of-town guests is the norm.) to Biga Pizza this past Saturday night. As much as I expected nothing less than great pizza, or at least good pizza, I was stunned at how bad it was. Even Pizza Hut is better, and that's not a compliment by any means, as Pizza Hut is the very "bottom of the barrel" in my opinion. Biga Pizza's crust is doughy and flavorless, more like white bread. The sauce is bland with absolutely no "zing" and the toppings were just not appetizing. Missoulians know a lot about of lot of things, but with all due respect, are completely cluess when it comes to good pizza.

In all fairness, it's no secret that the Indy's Reader's Poll is highly skewed, with most votes quite obviously coming from students. I'd bet that the only voles from anyone over 40 years old are probably from University professors. Just look at almost any category and you will see that the winners are predominently located downtown or in the University district, even though entrants in the category may be scattered all across town. Obviously, the best of each category is not necessarily to be found downtown or near the University. This category -- Best Pizza -- is a perfect example, with all three of the top choices located in or near downtown.

Back to pizza in Missoula, I challenge any one of you voters to venture out of the downtown area and try Howard's Pizza (2010 South Ave W) or Tower Pizza (3000 Brooks St). At either one of these locations, you'll treat your taste buds to true "pizzaria pizza", with a thin, crispy crust that's just exactly perfect, a zesty, flavorful tomato sauce, just the right blend of cheese exactly as you'd want it on a pizza, and ingredients and toppings exploding with flavor. All of this combines to provide the unmistakable flavor of authentic pizzaria pizza, just as you'd find in New York City or Chicago, two cities that set the pizza standard by which all others are measured.
