Re: “Undermining democracy

This from the transcript of the first debate debate held Sept 26, Holt moderator. Why isn't the media bringing this remark from Trump of support? BTW a lot has happened since Sept 26 to indicate that there is and may continue to be vote fraud. In view of that, why wouldn't the loser question the final election results? And what if Clinton lost? Would she scream "no fair! Election rigging! Election fraud"? Isn't she and her cohorts now "setting the stage" by pointing a finger at Russia trying to manipulate US elections against her?…

HOLT: One of you will not win this election. So my final question to you tonight, are you willing to accept the outcome as the will of the voters? Secretary Clinton?

CLINTON: Well, I support our democracy. And sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But I certainly will support the outcome of this election.

And I know Donald's trying very hard to plant doubts about it, but I hope the people out there understand: This election's really up to you. It's not about us so much as it is about you and your families and the kind of country and future you want. So I sure hope you will get out and vote as though your future depended on it, because I think it does.

HOLT: Mr. Trump, very quickly, same question. Will you accept the outcome as the will of the voters? TRUMP: I want to make America great again. We are a nation that is seriously troubled. We're losing our jobs. People are pouring into our country.

The other day, we were deporting 800 people. And perhaps they passed the wrong button, they pressed the wrong button, or perhaps worse than that, it was corruption, but these people that we were going to deport for good reason ended up becoming citizens. Ended up becoming citizens. And it was 800. And now it turns out it might be 1,800, and they don't even know.

HOLT: Will you accept the outcome of the election?

TRUMP: Look, here's the story. I want to make America great again. I'm going to be able to do it. I don't believe Hillary will. The answer is, if she wins, I will absolutely support her.

Re: “Undermining democracy

Last night Mr. Trump's refusal to answer whether he would concede to Secy. Clinton if he lost the election goes right to the heart of this paragraph:

"Trump's comments undermine the very foundation of American government. They are different from smears against his opponent, bigoted rhetoric or boasts about forcing himself on women. So many things Trump has said in the last year have been crass or dishonest, but they were politics—attempts to win votes within our electoral system. His new lies, utterly unsubstantiated, are designed to convince his supporters to reject that system. They attack democracy itself."

At the very least, no matter what her alleged crimes and hated reputation, Secretary Clinton has given every indication that she will abide by rule of law. Mr. Trump has amply demonstrated that he has not intention of doing so. This alone is the bright line separating the two candidates.

Here's all the reason anyone needs for supporting Trump: Hillary Clinton. BTW Greg. I caught you on Talk Back Monday. Would rather have heard your political comments than ghost stories. ;^)

Re: “Bigamy's matchmaking answer to Tinder (and more News of the Weird)

I have had some ups and downs when it comes to online dating, not stating that all my connections have ended horribly or that I have had experiences that would deter me. That is not the case; unfortunately in life everything has its perks and downfalls and you just have to roll with the punches. For instance, I was on the phone at with who I thought was this amazing man, he was smart, funny, sweet, adventurous – the whole nine yards, but it turns out that he lied about his age and was way too young for me, so instead of disregarding him, we ended up becoming friends. I just turned this downfall into a perk because I was open for any scenario, sometimes the unexpected happens and it’s what you do with it that makes it worthwhile. Still, we all have to be careful because we never know who we are talking to.

Re: “Health care

Yet another example of America's broken medical system. We can't even take care of people outside cities.

Or is a year without a clinic acceptable?

We could fix healthcare in this country.

We choose not to. We do that with our votes, throwing them away on D's and R's that never change anything, except when it benefits the corporations that bribe them with campaign donations.

Re: “Undermining democracy

I remember when James Stgoddard announced he'd be running for the U.S. House as a Dem...months before Juneau announced.

Those of us that follow MT politics closely knew the Dems weren't going to be taking that seat back as far back as then.

And now we see that this is what'll happen.

Dems should talk about why they've lost this seat 9 elections in a row, and now it looks like 10. They should talk about this, but they don't and they won't after the election.

So they'll lose again in 2018 as well.

It's sad.

Re: “Proof

The debate never happened. The defendant, Lipstadt, refused to take the stand. It was David Irving (representing himself) against Lipstadt/Penguin's vast team of lawyers, debating not historical fact but points of law.

Separately, Lipstadt has firmly stated her refusal NEVER to debate anyone who disagrees with her about the Holocaust. What does that tell you? Irving is ready anytime.

Re: “Undermining democracy

Trump's statements are representative of his grotesque being. Voters would be well advised to avoid supporting him. He is toxic and dangerous.

Re: “The lost delegate

As far as Bullock not attending, we all know why he didn't attend...he didn't want to lose the Bernie vote in his run for governor. After all Bernie won MT by large margins. It's all in black and white....
On another note since the convention was mentioned...
I want to say Carol Williams is full of it...and even though she was voted in as the delegation chair in a show of unity, she in no way tried to unite the delegation in Philadelphia. She actually tried everything in her power to prevent unity...and there are a few specific examples I will not disclose at this time. However these will be disclosed very soon.
It's about high time to tell the real story about the Montana HRC delegation and what happened at the DNC convention. I've heard from numerous reliable sources that it was very divided and the HRC delegates including Hill MT delegates were very divisive and rude to the MT Sanders delegates.

Don't vote for Zinke. Vote for Denise Juneau.
Zinke's wife's comment makes me ill. Ryan is for sale and wants a cabinet position with Trump.

Re: “Yes on I-177

It is obvious this person knows nothing about trapping , ecology, some of the greatest wildlife studies, and a lot more than I can name here. The repercussions of a trapping ban will eliminate the sage grouse for one for ever in MT.. It would cause government trapping, poison (coyote getters if you have ever heard of them), countless dollars spent by a strapped state and all for what??? Some misinformed anti trapping folks who are not willing to look at the facts , the dollars brought in for game management, they are just as blind, ignorant, folks that want this state turned upside down. If this passes our state will slowly be sterilized just like a lot of other states. Why don't they get involved with the Trapping community, get some laws in that they think are needed, increase set backs if that is an issue, and name places you think should be off limits to trappers and I am sure they will follow your suggestions. I check my traps every day, most trappers are so far removed from where any town folk would venture it is ridiculous to think they would even be near a trap line. Vote no and keep Montana's wildlife in the hands of the professionals, not some misinformed anti folks who could care less about our wildlife here in MT..

Re: “An amazing treasure

Oh Yes! Please support gentrification by bond issue. If the locals can not afford it, they should live communally in tent cities their friend's or parent's backyard, or down by the river. A tent city was tried on the courthouse lawn, didn't workout....or better yet, just find a cheaper place to live, Arkansas maybe.

I would be all in for a new library if it wasn't for:

The 'recent' $42 million "Parks and Trails" bond deception.
The 'recent' over zealous and over bloated $158 million schools bonds.
City and county taxes 'recently' run amok.
Greedy real estate speculators.
Greedy landlords.
The rich and trendy yuppies.
--Anywhere USA is the coolest place to be so long as it is trendy and expensive.
Commodity speculation in energy supplies.
Commodity speculation in foodstuffs.
--prices are on the rise again.
Stagnate and shrinking wages.
-- Zooville is not known for good wages....we're all here to eat the scenery anyway, right?
And than there are those of us who are retired and or on fixed incomes.

A new library would be nice, but what good would it be if we can no longer afford to live in our hometown anymore?
