The outage was unfortunate. Being in the tech industry I understand the frustration when equipment fails. Hopefully Charter will provide an explanation of what happened and what they will do to prevent it from happening again.
In the Montana legislature, just as in Congress, very little is accomplished by individuals. For that reason if for no other, it's important to review the parties' platforms and support those who align with the goals and objectives and philosophies that you agree with. It's also very helpful to be aware of what parties have tried to do, and what's happened following their successes. These days all that information is quickly available via the internet. We live in an age of wonders!
It's clear to me that over the years Democrats have accomplished more to benefit the vast majority of Montanans than Republicans have.
So yes, Adam Hertz and Andrew Person are both nice people, but the better choice for HD 96 and for Montana is Rep. Andrew Person.
My thanks to both of them for offering to serve in the Montana House.
Interesting article detailing the opportunities provided by a government sponsered fiber-based internet:
keep government out of it... what the government giveth, the government can taketh away.....unless you pay more and more and more
There are several independent pet food stores in town, one of them being The Holistic Houndry on S 3rd St W near the GFS.
I seem to remember Caitlin Copple talking about this issue. I don't see Charter caring - they actually are giving $100 to $170 to many of our Montana House and Senate candidates. I have a feeling we'll see business as usual with them.
So that means we do need government to step up. Business is buying up votes so they can continue to do nothing.
And that hot HD 96 race? Yep, Andrew Person took $100 from Charter.
Also taking money from Charter this election are Democrat Zac Perry for HD 3, Republican Steve Gibson for HD 84, Republican Nancy Ballance of HD 87, and Democrat Bryce Bennett of HD 91.
None of those people care about your internet speed.
Andrew Person has raised $18,000 for this race, Adam Hertz $22,000.
They will adapt, thanks to big hearted people like Greta
Denise Juneau will be another D.C. politician tied at the hip with big money corporate donors. In that regard she's the exact same as Zinke.
People in Missoula will be interested to know that she took $10,000 from Carlyle via Off the Sidelines PAC.
I thought Carlyle was bad...we did sue them to get a water company, right?
But Juneau likes 'em.
I think that says it all about our corrupt system and the corrupt people that play in it.
I'll be leaving this race blank - there's no difference between Zinke and Juneau when you follow the money.
When I see Strandberg I can't help but think of the further Moron-ization of Montana.
Let's see how much these refugees from Africa enjoy biking and walking when they get "welcomed" by the Montana snow, ice and sub freezing temperatures.
It matters not that she is a woman, Native American, gay, or purple, Look at her views, she is for education, public lands, human rights, equal pay and health care, thins like this is what matters, this is what we should be talking about, Now write an article about this. The press always wants to play got ya.
When I hear Salt Lake I can't help but think of the further Mormonization of Montana.
Yet another example of America's broken medical system. We can't even take care of people outside cities.
Or is a year without a clinic acceptable?
We could fix healthcare in this country.
We choose not to. We do that with our votes, throwing them away on D's and R's that never change anything, except when it benefits the corporations that bribe them with campaign donations.
As far as Bullock not attending, we all know why he didn't attend...he didn't want to lose the Bernie vote in his run for governor. After all Bernie won MT by large margins. It's all in black and white....
On another note since the convention was mentioned...
I want to say Carol Williams is full of it...and even though she was voted in as the delegation chair in a show of unity, she in no way tried to unite the delegation in Philadelphia. She actually tried everything in her power to prevent unity...and there are a few specific examples I will not disclose at this time. However these will be disclosed very soon.
It's about high time to tell the real story about the Montana HRC delegation and what happened at the DNC convention. I've heard from numerous reliable sources that it was very divided and the HRC delegates including Hill MT delegates were very divisive and rude to the MT Sanders delegates.
-Someone in the know
Looks to me like the fox is in the hen-house. This guy needs, very badly, to be voted out of office !
Lying? Are you serious? What if it were your child being abused by him, i bet you would not call him a liar then. This place for years has abused children and its disgusting. My husband went there clear back in 1977 and 1978. He was there two years and I have been told some of the horrifying stories that he had been put thru. Some of these names listed here are some of the names he mentioned to me. You can hear the shakiness in his voice when he tells me what he was put thru and how was woke up every morning. And for a man who is now 54 years old and still traumatized from that place is awful. So F**K you and your dumb shit about Bob and his false truth bullshit.
God bless the media. Where the schools fail at indoctrination, the media picks up the slack. The kids almost got it right (seemed to agree...), now the media will make sure they get it right. It now "seems" that whites are on the receiving end of racism.
"While most students seemed to agree the shirts were inappropriate, Vergeront recalls, they were more divided over whether it warranted the level of attention it received online and in the media." Well, no shi*t, if you are not on the receiving end of racism then you have absolutely no clue how it feels or how you would react. Plus the obvious fact that these kids' parents do absolutely NOTHING to enlighten them to the realities of standing in someone else's shoes. Point of fact..."What's Standing Rock?". Give me a break.
