Re: “Plucked over

Thanks a lot, this really is a truly awsome article! Thanks for the sharing, I also found a useful service for forms filling. I've found some decent tutorials on how to fill Freddie Mac 1126 out online here https://goo.gl/07PM3y

Re: “Krakauer

Kraukauer already disparaged Bozeman and their Greg Mortenson for his own benefit. Is he done doing the same to Missoula now?

I hope so.

Re: “Pop culture

Owners "needed a bit of coaxing."

That's alarming.

New ideas keep you at the forefront of business. Doing things as we've always done ensures others will pass you by.

We'll see how owners react to new ideas in the future. Imagine if they passed on this one...it'd be business as usual.

(but isn't it that anyways?)

Re: “Out of the rubble

That's the problem. Too few get it. Too few get Missoula; but for some reason too many want to be here. And that is why Missoula is on a fast track to Anywhere USA.

Re: “Out of the rubble

I don't get it. The Merc has history, sure, but it's not as if it is an architectural gem or anything. It's just and old decaying building that's to expensive for anyone to renovate.

Re: “Termed out

I agree totally with MTvoter. I researched Kimball's holdings in AZ as well as this MT location. I 'm willing to bet that this MT purchase was a lot less about his "non-profit" enterprise and more of a tax-free way to landbank this property and the one in Tucson as well. And where else would this jerk go after his supposed non-profit's failure? Why, where else, but back to a public institution where he can again pilfer the public's pocket book in the name of 'doing good' (at the University of AZ). Check out this guy history in

Re: “Call to duty

Let's hope that Tim Fox will take up knitting. He has failed his Republican & Conservative voters, and all of Montanans. He refuses to discuss issues, he supported the Water Compact which will drive property values down and businesses to close, and bring a lot of problems to residents of Mt. Further, he could have offered intervention with the Refugee Resettlement issues, but chose to remain silent. He did whisper that he was opposed to them. He aided Bullock into turning Mt. into a welfare state. Do not vote for Fox in the General Election. He is bad news for Montana.

Re: “Gun ordinance

if the independent needed a background check to write articles, I wonder if they would be so brazen.

Re: “Call to duty

What Democrats need to think about is what Fox will do in 2020. Will he try for governor after his two terms as AG are up, or will Gianforte be back to try again that year after he loses this year? Will Gianforte run against Tester in 2018 and, if he wins, what will that do for the governor's race in 2020?

Or is Tim Fox just going to go away? I don't think so.

Re: “The Jay's of our lives

Robin Elaine Dent here a classically trained musician that had a vision to make an alternative music scene. I ran Jays Upstairs for seven years and Most people at Jays never new I composed music or was a musician for that matter. When I was in music school I learned that Gershwin ran a music club and I thought that that would be a cool thing to do in my youth. As far as the diversity went the plan was to get as many different types of clients in one night as we could. I am glad to hear that many enjoyed the diversity.

Re: “In Trump They Trust

LJ Martin commenting on Montana issues is a hard pill to swallow. As a California transplant, I don't know if his ideas truly encompass what it means to be a Montanan.

Re: “Sheriff's department

Don't mistake corruption as only a local problem. Police and related agencies are SWORN liars and cheats for the government and they get caught all the time, but NEVER prosecuted. The only difference in officers and criminals is the paycheck.

Re: “In Trump They Trust

Polls are interesting but an actual vote can be more revealing. Back in the 2008 Primary election when Hillary was on the ballot in Montana, she outpolled John McCain. Hillary got 74,889 to McCain's 72,791. Then in November, McCain barely scraped out a win in the Montana General Election.

2008 Montana Primary Election
Voting Democrat 64%
Voting Republican 26%
Voting Other 10%

2008 General Election Results for Montana
Barak Obama (D) 47%
John McCain (R) 48%
Other 5%

Hicks. Good grief. How stupid is America to think this game show host is comparable to do the job of President. I'm sure he'll get Big Bird to be on his staff.

Re: “In Trump They Trust

Yep, Hillary made a mistake with her email and she lied about it. I guess that's worse than a guy who slams POW's, says that our soldiers are thieves, tweets that women in military should expect to be raped, threatens our foreign allies, attacks Gold Star families, swoons for a Russian despot while ripping the US President, condemns our generals, doesn't know why we don't use nuclear weapons, hides his taxes, runs a crooked business empire, seeks to ban an entire religion from the US, isn't very bright and tells lie after lie after lie. Yep, some of you folks have picked a real winner.

Re: “Pipeline protest

You are the joke here...they are using cheap material and are under a deadline...safety doesn't rate up there as much as "get'r done!" "They" moved the pipeline from its original proposed site for fear of poisoning the city of Bismarck's water supply....yeah, real yoyoish

Re: “Termed out

Whatever his motives, he and Vote Smart are gone. And 14 people, not volunteers. living in Pburg are out of work. Pburg taxes are going up while the taxpayers are going down. Refugee grants will start to look more and more attractive to the local government in Grant It County.

Re: “Termed out

Everything Kimball says is bogus. No one in Philipsburg knows what he is talking about when he mentions three deaths. Possibly one suicide but his dramatic letter is a lame excuse for his failure as an administrator.

He designed himself a cushy little non-profit, including a huge house to live in next to a pristine lake, and paid himself a fat salary and paid his wife too. Now the profit from the sale of the property can keep the circus rolling along. The Board never interacted with the people doing the work. Kimball failed to listen to very bright people who have gone on to great things throughout the country. Any college that thinks they can work with this "Director" will be disappointed, as have the many dedicated people who tried to keep PVS a leader in its field. Vote Smart and it's bright young people will be sorely missed by Philipsburg, Mr. Kimball will not.
