Ditto, MTBison. I have used this area for years and always felt someone should have gone to jail for what they did up there....
I'm hopeful the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will be asked to assist in the planning and implementation of restoration plans. They are the experts when it comes to wildlife habitat.
Way to go Jeff
Some of this land will need of lot of rest and rehab. The Gold Creek area in particular consists some of the ugliest clear-cuts imaginable, and is now chock full of weeds. What Plum Creek did in there was nothing less criminal. It was once excellent habitat. Hopefully, one day, it could be again.
Hooray for Joe...our favorite tap tender at our favorite brewery. The dude is a mensch!
Quit whining Debby - there's no doubt that experienced hunters who have spent years hunting an area know when game populations are down. Of course you being a non-hunter (I assume) understand very little about the issue. All you've got is your emotional opposition to hunting. Get over it - hunters are not going away.
To the most respectable Sen. Diane Sands, D-Missoula: I have news for you and anyone that cares enough to follow this issue "BREATHING" is an insidious deadly habit that you will have your entire life, and in the end will leave you breathless and dead!
And according to Paul Fielder's logic, if you don't like abuse of children, don't abuse them, but let others do what has been done for ages... goodness
Kill all the coyotes !!!!! They are nothing but a pest!!! Sick dogs on em run em over burn out on top of them Shoot em all!!!! This is america and hunting a fishing is a part of life keeping the coyote population is out of hand and needs to be eradicated. If you dont like hunting and fishing and you think its cruel then why do you yuppies search out pictures and bitch and complain about it all day.
And now we have a coyote and wolf killing contest promoted by "hunters" in Sanders County. Hey, if you think killing is fun recreation imagine the thrill of mass killing. When it comes to hunting food I can accept that hunting is OK if done with respect. When I see random shooting into a massed herd of elk, there is no respect. I liken it to the difference between making love with respect and gang rape. The proposed killing contest is gang rape as a public spectacle. How degraded and debauched will our culture get? The downward curve is steep, with no bottom in sight.
Now it is a wait and see for the Attorney General's decision!
The only problem I see with the coyote hanging there is it isn't a Grey Wolf!!!!!
I hate song dogs. They greedily kill every deer fawn and turkey poult they can get their slobber on. Kill em all!!!
gee if that is all it takes to keep liberals out of Montana I say hang one at every road crossing into the state! 😃
The only thing bad about the coyote hanging in the tree is that there is not another on each side of it
more coyotes in the US now than there were before Columbus showed up....only shame of the above is the pelt was prolly worth $50 if sold. people like to complain bout killing yotes till they find out yotes love to hunt and kill their pets. more than a few populations of yotes in the states that get most meals by killing cats and small dogs.
if this kinda thing helps keep the whacko tree huggers out of the state ill be happy to hang mine up rather than skin them out
It seems the idiotic echoing has ceased for the time being. There isnt anything as irritating as multiple morons agreeing with each other about something not based on fact.
Nice yote :) ! I spent a month hunting in Montana each of the last two years and I would love to live there and have whoever decorated their tree with a dead coyote as my neighbor.
If I hang a dead coyote in a tree with a bow will the lot of you stay the hell away from Kolorado as well, Please?
