Good diner food with decemt priced.Only place for freshmade food in East Missoula
Quite good, though it's what my CA friends would call a 'gringo' burrito (gorganzola cheese!?! but it is good on the veggie option). Fresh ingredients, good salsa, friendly staff, clean, value for money! I'll give 'em the 5th starr if they feature local produce...

My friend and neighbor loves biga. I went all you can eat pizza $10 day that's why I find out my favorite there. I like to go there only for winter squwash pizza.
I wish they have other good pizza combination, too.
I liked burger but I always order half portion because too big.
I like add a lot of vegies in it.
I wish they have small size french fly. It's good for people who eat a lot but not me. so I need to take other friend to share it.
only one time I got little low meat so too bad.
Good food, cool people, what more can be said?
Good Thai food for Missoula but would not fulfill most individuals needs for Thai who have had true thai or lived in a city.
In regards to tig233's review, I wanted to say that I have always received great service at James Bar. Don't let one rare experience influence you. This place is usually spot-on with their service and their food.
So I'd agree with Smitty regarding the atmosphere at the neighborhood location. It's cavernous and less than warm and inviting, but THE FOOD MORE THAN MAKES UP FOR IT!!! Having lived the majority of my life in Chicago, the one thing I miss constantly is food. Good, authentic ethnic restaurants are VERY hard to come by in Western Montana, but dinner at Cafe Dolce has really hit the spot with the seasonal, changing, Italian dinner selections. They are currently serving a Braised Short Rib Ragu that is out of this world. There are several other pasta dishes that are delicious. Their pizzas are terrific, and don't get me started on desserts. With great food, and a great wine selection, dinner at Cafe Dolce's neighborhood location has become a fairly regular choice despite the warehouse-like atmosphere.
The Crab Benedict is awesome. Plus there is shrimp in their Bloody Marys!
Greatly improved! The new menu is so good. the seared tuna as an app. or sandwich was fantastic! haven't been to the Horse in a wile & was glad to see the new choices. Check 'em out!
Their Hot & Sour soup is the best in town! When I don't feel good it's the only cure, say goodbye to Chicken Noodle - order the Hot & Sour!!
The breakfast is a must try. The coffee's good. It's a bit of a wait on weekends, but worth it.
Taco Del Sol is great. With 4 locations here in town (including Boca Ray) you always know what you're going to get. They don't have lots of options or ways to customize your burrito/taco, but again, consistency is key. Definitely great for lunch or dinner, the restaurants are nice to meet with friends, sit outside, or enjoy a lunch by yourself.
Pub Trivia on Tuesday with Fat Tire pitcher specials = Amazing. They've got great food, too. Salads, Sandwiches, Traditional Irish Fare, and a Locally Grown special daily. MMmmmm
Doc's can be daunting at first glance, because they have SO MANY choices. All their sandwiches are named after famous doctors (freud, kavorkian, doolittle, who) and always bring a smile. They've got cold and hot sandwich options, along with soups, salads and deserts. Watch out during the lunch hour though, as Doc's is always Packed with hungry folks.
If you just want a slice of pizza, the Bridge is the place to go! They always have cheese and pepperoni, and two specialty slices. Their pizzas are a leap above any of the pizza chains, but perhaps not as swanky (or expensive) as Biga.
Also have great pasta dishes, salads, and a few outliers like burritos and stir frys.
The Depot is sweet because it's like 3 restaurants in one. There is the fancy restaurant for more "intimate" dining. The Depot Deck for summertime hangouts with pals. And the dark bar for Air-Conditioned bliss. The food is good. As I'm not a burger eater or a "spend money on a steak" kinda gal, I enjoy their pizzas and the portobello mushroom sandwich. I've had a few bad waitresses in there, but... I won't let that ruin a restaurant forever.
I give Cafe Dolce four stars to round out the two locations. The stand-alone spot on the corner of Brooks and Beckwith is cafeteria like. I feel like it should be in a museum or something, not somewhere I would want to hang out by myself. The acoustics are not great - but the deck is awesome. Three Stars.
The Cafe Dolce in the mall is the bomb. I'd rather go to the mall location for lunch than the restaurant on beckwith. Sitting in the square by the big clock is a great way to people watch and you feel like you're in an arboretum. Four Stars
The food: Is great in both spots. Five Stars.
James Bar has great happy hour, and their fries are amazing. The atmosphere is very urban, clean and crisp. Has booths, a couple couches, and a very nice wait staff. Great for a couple people or a group.
