Maybe you could change the Kickstarter link to the actual fundraising page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thegol…
Dan Koestler is the most motivated back country person i have had the pleasure to know. keep up the good work.
It's worth pointing out that for year's Cary Hegreberg was the executive director of the Montana Wood Products Association.
During Hegreberg's tenure, the Montana Wood Products Association aggressively opposed any and all efforts to protect Montana's roadless wildlands or our old-growth forests from development, roadbuilding and industrial logging.
Anyone else in Missoula remember in June of 2000 when Hegreberg organized a huge timber industry/Wise Use rally in opposition to the Roadless Area Conservation Rule?
Hegreberg and his organization also supported any and all efforts to curb and/or gut public input and environmental analysis dealing with public lands timber sales.
113 packs of wolf with 7 or more wolf. The tribe did not count the packs with 2 or 3 wolf in Montana. Try over 1500 wolf in Montana for a minimum count. DOW does not count the wolf, hey raise money to fill their pockets from fools who fill them every month.
First off Montana has more than 625 wolves... Wolves are a disease ridden predator and need listed as such. This wouldn't be an issue if people that actually live in areas affected were listened to. To many lobbyist and Enviro groups with no clue have led people to believe these wolves are necessary to the environment when they aren't. Wolves cause more damage than is verified or reported. I have had wolves within 15 feet of my home, where I have children. If I can shoot one or more I will.
Does anyone have any idea what these individuals are put through in a boot camp? Even the most mentally stable would have a difficult time succeeding. They are pushed to their breaking point, humiliated, sleep deprived and pushed physically to the point of collapse. I have unfortunately had first hand experience with this and my son who had 5 mental health diagnoses and was sent to the Boot Camp at Deerlodge with no medications. He was motivated but had no chance of succeeding. He lasted one month before suffering a complete breakdown and ending up in prison. To the above comment.... Montana needs to find the finances to properly treat people with mental illness. Psychiatry is real medicine!!! and you most likely need the help of exactly that. "These type of people" speaks volumes. These people are human beings with an illness just like diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimers etc. They deserve treatment for their illnesses just like anyone else. This story is very disheartening and I hope what this mother has done to fight for her son will eventually others in his situation.
Great story, thank you so much! I think it's interesting to note after receiving some press recently regarding the fact that SOFA's address was directly across the street from Zinke's house in Whitefish, a change has been made!! Check out this link http://images.nictusa.com/pdf/892/13942281892/13942281892.pdf#navpanes=0 Effective today SOFA has "moved" just 5 miles from Scott Hommels address in Baltonspa, New York. Now how in the world is Zinke's "replacement", Gary Stubblefield, supposed to run this organization from his home in Missoula. Also, try and find ANY information on Battle Plan Strategies. There is none. It's only job seems to be to collect $ from SOFA
Would someone please explain the birds and the bees to these immature children ranting about wolves like 6 year olds. Regulated hunting has never in the history of the world caused any animal to go extinct. Take off the paranoid tin foil hat and join the adult world before you comment. Wolves are going to be managed based on science and experts now grow up and deal with it. P.S. Newsflash the earth is not flat either.
The Bitterroot Good Time Jamboree is always on the SECOND Saturday of the month, September thru May. No concerts in June, July, August. Time is still 7-9:30
