Re: “Guest editorial: An NRA member reconsiders

the other argument I've heard was that sandy hook HAD a good security system in place..um no they did not it was a locked door with a buzzer..please don't tell the people they had security because what they had HARLY qualified as even passable security it was a JOKE. thank you.

Re: “Guest editorial: An NRA member reconsiders

arming teachers is a really bad idea I can launch into 50 different reasons why but I think many of us are smart enough to see the problems arming teachers can have, please retire that bad idea please! ALSO retire the retired veterans with guns patrolling school hallways..not to be blunt but that group can be considered among the LEAST stable of our citizens (no disrespect intended but let's be honest about this) no! how about we stop trying to re invent the damned wheel already!?! let's put softly armed officers on the front doors and in the parking/grounds areas and installing bullet proof glass on all first floor windows..it can be done right now (cept the windows special order etc) it addresses the problem by putting guards on the property it doesn't go against the majority of anti weapons/firearms bans already in place in many states..it's a no brainer guys!! a no brainer all of this teachers..vets janitors parents carrying a gun in the hallways of schools is pretty stupid especially if that's the only defense..by the time a gunman enters the school it's TOO LATE too late! you have to think proactive not REACTIVE! but like I said, I can sit here and write 50 plus reasons why teachers shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun on school property and I haven't even started talking about that yet!! (softly armed= tasers bean bag guns mace etc ) that should suffice please retire this teacher armed in the school NONSENSE PLEASE!

I like arming the teachers. The next round of pay negotiations will go quite well.

Re: “Guest editorial: An NRA member reconsiders

well lets see you go to a cort house ther will be at least 3 armed guards waiting at the metal detector then the baliffs will be armed then all the police walking around on the tax payers dole and then we can send the muslim brotherhood about 2 bill in tax payer money but we cant afford to put a armed guard in the public schools i thought the schools we government buildings also well maby it is that the judges and politicians are much more valuable than our kids or maby they should allow the teachers that would like to be trained an can pass the conceal carry background check to observe their constitutional rite to keep and bear arms

Re: “Trapped coyote photos have lawmakers questioning Wildlife Services' "culture"

So the mistake was posting the pictures? Sounds like Olson might be missing the point. This is what he does when he thinks no one is looking. 'Dont ever let me CATCH you doing that again!' 'Oh don't worry, I won't!'

Re: “Wyoming coyote trapper defends graphic photos

To those that say their livestock and pets are disappearing, what do you expect. It is the nature of the wild animal to hunt for food. We invaded their land and they have nowhere else to go. I have no empathy for you.

AS A RANCHER,WHOSE LIVESTOCK (SHEEP,GOATS AND CATTLE) HAVE FREQUENTLY BEEN KILLED BY COYOTES (OR MAIMED AND LEFT TO DIE), I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR THESE COWARDLY PREDATORS. WHEN THEY INVADE YOUR COMMUNITY AND YOUR PET CATS AND SMALL DOGS START DISAPPEARING, YOU JUST MIGHT CHANGE YOUR TUNE. COYOTE TRAPPERS ARE WELCOME ON MY LAND ANY TIME!

Re: “Trapped coyote photos have lawmakers questioning Wildlife Services' "culture"

he'll be fired just to shut people up & make it look like they really do do there jobs but what will be hidden from our scrutinizing eyes is the secret deal like pay off or be rehired with quietness (maybe different name even) & reassigned non public duty or transferred to a different location or both
(churches & the clergy bean doing it for years & I wouldn't doubt some kind-o catholic adviser is brought in

Re: “Senate passes Food Safety Act with Tester's amendment

I'm glad the tester's amendment went through but it is not nearly as big a win as you think. The amendment only exempts up to $500,000 GROSS SALES. It is very easy for a very small family farm selling direct to consumers and local retailers to exceed that in annual sales yet they may only be clearing a profit of $50,000. Now they will come under onerous FDA regulations that may crush them. The result is a great many small farms will not hire or expand because why bother getting just a little bigger if that means you're going to have to deal with more expensive government regulations?! It is just not worth it.

Re: “Don't be a jackass: Live theater etiquette 101

Bravo! Respect for others is a dying consideration, as evidenced by the armies of self-absorbed mouth-breathers who live the bulk of their lives on their devices. Why do they bother coming to a live performance?
