Starlighters Swing Band St Patrick's Day Night at the Senior Citizens Center was a Remember when and an event I won't forget. Remembering when dance bands and music in the 50s and 60s were dancable and solid good times. Kids at this event were jitter-bugging like I used to do ( I am 70+ now) and it was good to see the youth keeping the dance alive and well in Down town Missoula. Kudos to all who made it happen!!

We are in Missoula for a week for training. We randomly picked this place-and I am so sad there is not one near home (northern california). The service was great. The servers were so friendly and the owner was very nice, ensuring we enjoyed our meal. They have soup, hot sandwiches and a 'create your own salad' option. You tell the server the size of salad, and choose from a variety of greens to start, and then walk down the row choosing what to add. My friend had soup and a salad, I had salad and bread. The available ingredients were FRESH, and too many to list. There were several protein options including chicken, salmon, beef, tofu, and a variety of beans. The dressing of the day was a orange champagne vinnagrette( spelling ), and it was just a perfect mix of healthy fresh ingredients. I returned for dinner, for another amazing salad. If you try one place while you're in Missoula-this is a must try. We really really liked it!!
Great food. Amazing customer service. Clean facility.
Best Chinese/Asian I've had in Missoula. Fresh ingredients, fresh food, big portions, little price. I was very pleasantly surprised the first time I ate at Bamboo Chopstix and would highly recommend it.
The best Angus steaks in town. Attentive and friendly staff.
Legit stock, cool (mostly) employees, willing to make deals and send u home happy. Also only locally owned shop which is cool.
This is the most divine chicken on the planet! Friendly and fantastic value! If you aren't into the in-house dining, get it to go and eat it in the park! :-)
By far the very best ice-cream in town! Don't spend your dollars at chain stores when you can support the local economy in the sweetest way possible!
Best glass selection in zoo! Employees are realy nice and helpful, and the redhead guy is pretty damn cute ;)
Spicy Beef Lemongrass Soup - Fantastic
hands down freshest, bestest coffee around!! if you are ever going down russell street near pink grizzly- stop in for a latte, some sweet gear with BRCC on it, or a bag of their special roasts! Matt- awesome place!
hands down best bakery in town. they have the best cookies (especially the hand squeezed lemon cookies and the espresso chocolate chip cookies), and lemon bars are to die for! hand squeezed lemon is the trick! also the cupcakes are huge and a few varieties every day! their seasonal stollen is to die for!!
by far the best Chinese in Missoula! I am from NY and we had all kinds of Chinese, so I know this is a good one! service is exceptional! i would recommend ordering out on fridays/saturdays because they get busy! food is great to-go! I recommend the crab rangoon, our favorite :)
great service!! pizza, daily salad specials, the calzones are HUGE and delicious! always crowded- get there as early as you can! beer and wine served also!
Please don't hate me for noting that I skied creamy, thigh deep powder in Liberty Bowl today. Soooo nice.
The sluice boxes are a very unique and stunningly beautiful 4 mile stretch of Belt creek. They start at the Logging creek bridge and continue for about 4 miles to the bridge at the base of Riceville Hill. There is a fairly decent trail the entire length but several (and very likely deep) creek crossings are necessary. Trout fishing all through here is excellent due to an abundance of nice deep holes. When I was a teenager my friends and I would wear boots (to push off of the rocks) and scuba masks (to look at fish) and body float the entire length. There is a very deep hole at a 90 degree bend that has a nice series of rock ledges for jumping (or backflipping) from. The scenery outside of the creek is amazing as well. The vertical rock faces on either side of the creek zig-zag the entire 4 miles similar to a maze. There are some railroad remnants that are best avoided though. All in all I think this short strech of Montana is one of the coolest.
Fantastic hot wings. They have 25 cent per wing Wednesdays and you can't beat that deal. Their pizza is great...the Shrimp Alfredo was our favorite. As for Philly Cheesesteaks go, they are the best in town. So far everything we have tried has been excellent!
