Among the highlight tours, Boulder Canyon Stands out boldly.

This past weekend a big group of five of us began the long slog along the ridgeline to the summit near Boulder Peak. It was a pleasant skinning session at four hours, a decent pace. There were a couple brief stops along the way to enjoy the sunshine and a few contraband nuts and Resses cups. We hadnt started super early and enjoyed fair weather and a light warming trend from the ski day two days previous. What starts as an easy tour ends at the ridge with committing runs off the north side down to the creek and falls of Boulder Canyon.

At the split entrances at 9.500', we broke into two groups, one group of two for the couloir and a group of three for the Goddess Gully. They both skied well, though with some windslab development especially within the couloir. We regrouped at the bottom and shook out enough mojo for another 2,000' run on Mary's Apron. Finished off with a late luncheon poolside at the creek, we took in another spectacular day and venue in the Bitterroot Range.
