Ready? Set? Vote! (In today's primaries)

Posted By on Tue, Jun 3, 2014 at 8:00 AM

A lot is at stake in today's primaries. Montana's Republican and Democratic voters will pick their candidates for important November elections, including the race for our only seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In addition, Missoula County voters will fill some local offices—county sheriff and county attorney—now instead of in the fall, due to a lack of Republicans running in the general. Certain non-partisan positions, including one of Missoula County's two Justice of the Peace judgeships, will also be decided today.

All of which is a long way of saying, GO VOTE TODAY!

While some responsible citizens have already mailed in their absentee ballots, it's not too late for the rest of us to have our voices heard. Polls don't close until tonight at 8.

If you still have your absentee ballot, just take it today to any polling place or to the Elections Center at the fairgrounds. You can find polling locations here.

If you can't remember whether you already sent your ballot in, you can track its whereabouts here.

If you want to vote but aren't sure whether you're registered, where your polling place is, or how to get there, visit Missoula County's My Voter Page.

If you aren't registered to vote, you can still do so. Just go to the Election Center and bring the right kind of ID.

Ravalli County voters have their own important decisions to make, including the fate of three members of the county's Board of Commissioners. For more information about polling locations and voter registration down south, check this out.

Oh, and again, GO VOTE.
