Election 2012: Jeff Ament wants you...

Posted By on Mon, Nov 5, 2012 at 4:31 PM

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament wants you to vote. That's the gist of the 32-second public service announcement he recorded for Forward Montana this week. The message reminds Montanans that tomorrow is Election Day and anyone with voting-related questions can call 1-866-OUR-VOTE. Check below for the full audio.

Jeff Ament rallying for Tester on the UM campus.

Ament's been particularly active this year plugging Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Tester's re-election bid, even appearing at a rally on the University of Montana campus alongside the Big Sandy dirt farmer. Tester remains neck-and-neck with Republican Congressman Denny Rehberg, with the latest polls mixed on who's actually ahead. Republican strategists across the country had hoped a Rehberg victory could help place the Senate majority in the hands of the GOP. But due to developments in other states, Politico reporter David Catanese is now reporting those hopes are likely dashed regardless of who claims Montana.

Tomorrow's the big day. As Ament says, "Your generation will determine this election and the future of the country." Talk about pressure.
