Missoula illustrator featured in Minneapolis alt weekly

For the second consecutive year, the work of Missoula illustrator and graphic designer Josh Quick is featured in City Pages' annual comix issue. City Pages is an alternative weekly that covers the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas. This special issue includes 24 different comic strips and hit the stands Aug. 8 (it's summer; we're catching up).

Perhaps I'm biased, but Quick's strip — with an owl, a mermaid, and a mermaid baby — is the best of the bunch.

Quick's no stranger to the Indy or, really, anyone with eyes in Missoula. He's done an impressive number of concert posters, tour T-shirts, logo designs, and even the bookmark I used while flying through Minneapolis and seeing this City Pages issue. You can check out his latest work on Tumblr.
