Rachel, who works at the Hooters on Reserve Street, is one of 101 finalists competing in the pageant. In addition to a $50,000 first place cash prize and the title of Miss Hooters International 2012, the winner will be featured in the Hooters Magazine, Hooters Calendar and in national television commercials. There's also a $5,000 prize for the "viewer's choice" winner, as voted online.
This is the second year a Missoula employee has been a finalist.
"The contestants represent the 18,000 current Hooters Girls working in the 430 locations around the world," explained Alexis Aleshire, Hooters' PR director, in a release. "They advanced in local and regional contests or were selected to compete in Miami in our largest event of the year."
To watch the competition, you can head to the Hooters on Reserve Street, where it will air live on closed-circuit TV starting at 9 p.m. local time, or catch it taped on FX at 11 p.m.
