If you hear shrieks near the old Whittier School Saturday night, don't fret. It's probably just Team Jacob and Team Edward reacting as the original Twilight plays on the big screen, under the big sky, at Missoula Outdoor Cinema.
Surely you know about Missoula Outdoor Cinema. Every Saturday night throughout the summer, folks bring their lawn chairs and blankets to the corner of Worden and Philips, grab some freshly popped popcorn, and catch a flick for free. So far this year, MOC has screened inspired selections like Dr. Strangelove, Raising Arizona and Stop Making Sense. After Twilight, Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance will hit the wall (see the video below, by Andy Smetanka, to understand how MOC projects its weekly movie).
But Twilight may draw the biggest crowd of the season. Be sure to get there well before the scheduled 8:46 start.
