Local pride: Missoula woman makes Hooters calendar

We're in need of some shred of good news, so here's this: Missoula's own Brittney Lee Crowley was one of the lucky women — out of 20,000 applicants — to be featured in this year's Hooters calendar.
"The selection process is lengthy and intense, so it is a huge accomplishment for any Hooters Girl to be featured in the calendar," said Alexis Aleshire, public relations manager for Hooters of America, in a press release.
Aside from the "lengthy" and "intense" process, we also learned these important facts about the publication:
- Hooters prints the months of its calendar out of order. No, really. "As far as the months being out of order, that was how they came back from the printer back in 1986, for proofing," said calendar honcho Doug Vollmer, also in the release. "We kind of liked the idea that, in order to find the right month, you had to search through the entire calendar again and that way, you would re-visit all of the girls and jokes again."
- There are jokes.
- This is the 24th year of the calendar.
- In 1986, about 2,000 calendars were distributed. This year, distribution is estimated at a half-million worldwide, "continuing their reputation as the best-selling calendar of its kind."

jesus, if this pathetic slut show is the good news for Missoula, it only makes the bad news seem that much more dire. oh, and nice visual-- an emaciated and bikini clad woman in a submissive fuck-me pose always just screams "GOOD NEWS!!!"

rottenlemon, you just seriously cracked me up. I am sitting here laughing enough to barely see the keyboard. I bet her mom is REAL proud, eh?
I know this girl and while you may say what you like about her, she is honestly one of the sweetest, most down to earth people I know. Yes, it's a sexy pose, but you seem to forget that there is an actual person behind that photo. Don't be so quick to judge.
Also, I thought Missoula was a liberal place. Funny how when other people do things differently than they would personally it is suddenly not ok. Perhaps we should be more comfortable with the decisions of others. Life is about personal choice. Let others live their lives and get over it.
I think it is an AMAZING accomplishment for Brittney to have been featured in the Hooters Calendar. Not only is the process very competative, but something like this can open up so many doors for someone from Missoula. Brittney is a very beautiful woman WHO I might add is not showing anything you wouldn't see on the beach or someone floating down the river. The decisions that Brittney or any other woman out there makes is her decision and hers alone, it has nothing to do with any other rude, ignorant people out there who judge the woman in these magazines. Until you get to know someone like Brittney and see what a beautiful, smart and careing person she is DO NOT judge someone for making something of themselves. All of you that sit here and put her down and condem her for "being an emaciated and bikini cald woman is a submissive fuck-me pose" you're just jealous you are having to sit on your computer trying to make yourself feel better for putting someone as amazing and careing as Britteny down. So we'll see where she is and where you are in 10 years.
I have visited many different Hooters around the country and while I don't know Brittany personally most of the Hooters girls that I know are very sweet girls who are not full of themselves. I consistently get superb service when I eat at Hooters so much so that I marvel when I eat at other restaurants and how poorly they compare to the girls at Hooters. If you have a negative attitude about Hooters girls it's because you really don't know what you are talking about.
WOW i COULDNT BELIEVE THOSE FIRST COMMENTS how rude and ignorant can people be? Its mind blowing that such pathetic people can sit and have their day completed by putting someone down for this! She is Ridiculously beautiful and i am a modest girl but if i looked like that in a swimsuit OH MAN i would want people to see! ha! I hope she follows her dreams if modeling is the case. Taking a pic like this in a swimsuit, looking hot and getting paid for it!!! I MAKE 9.75 an hr sitting behind a boring ass desk all day. Wish i had the tools to getaway with modeling. Good work girl, way to put Montana hotties on the map! :)

I commented before the opening of Hooters in regards to all the lonely idiots out there and their wives or husbands who were putting Hooters down. Well, here it is again. Brittany is a wonderful woman. She works hard for what she has. I personally know her, (admittedly not well, but none the less) and she is a wonderful woman. How is it that it's ok for a church or school group to offer up their 11 to 18 year olds to go do a bikini car wash during the summer, but it's wrong for a woman of Hooters to show off her body in an internationally distributed calendar? You people need to look to the inside to judge. If you're so damn perfect, why are you preaching to others?
I am proud of her too! Brittney, there will always be people who have to take out their own insecurities on others by trying to bring them down with negative words. It's pathetic but that's the way the world works. Your friends, loved ones and community support you!!
i'm okay with her posing sexy, or doing whatever she wants for that matter. certainly it beats her protecting us from ourselves by wearing a berka, although sometimes those are sexy, too.
but this is for a hooters calendar? i'm surprised they didn't photoshop her hooters a bit more, she actually looks pretty normal and unaltered to me.
Elkamino, if you read the article it said there were over 20,000 applicants, of course they arent going to chose women they will have to photoshop, they want natural beauties, like Brittney. Also, if you go to any Hooters, especially the one in Missoula, you will see all the girls are different shapes, sizes, personalities, skin tones etc. There is no generic Hooters Girl, thats why making the calander is such a big deal, because it means you have something special and unique. She is an extremely gorgeous native american woman who represents REAL Montana beauty.
amber, you're right, Brittney's beautiful. but that photo- like all glam photos- was photoshopped. even the most beautiful models have blems considered unsightly by calendar makers, who thus polish them out. but that's okay, because we're discussing a hooters calender here. even the models are okay (check her contract) with hair being digitally highlighted (or removed), or at the very least in this case skin glistened into impossibly flawless tanned silk. look more closely and you'll see her face, too, is digitally smooved, but not because she's "emaciated" (christ, rottenlemon) or unattractive in any way but because she's striking seductive in a hooters calendar and when you do that you get polished.
don't believe me? just ask brittney- i'd wager a basket of old post wings that allowing the photos to be altered is clearly worded in her contract. (the waitstaff's no less diverse -or sweltering, either...)
but amber, while i do have a deep appreciation for the breast i'm not a hooters guy, and my original point was only that i was surprised to see a set of midsized hooters in a hooters calendar, that's all. you know, like you don't see many mid sized whitetail bucks in "antlers" magazine, only huge racks with wide spreads.
but whatever, this badass chick's getting paid top $ in a recession more or less just for being a fine specimen. i totally support that.
elkamino, I have done my fair share of modeling as well and I KNOW they photoshop skin flaws and misplaced strands of hair- thats a given. But you were commenting on how she looks untouched, and I was agreeing saying that they wouldnt pick someone they would need to sit at a computer and take a ton of time altering her face/body. As for your elk/hooters comparison, what makes an elk a "prize" is it's size and rack, however this is not the case for women and I am very disappointed at your thinking that is the case. Just because someone works/poses for Hooters doesn't mean they are well endowed in the chest area, nor should they have to be to be presented in Hoots mechandise... like I said, there is no generic Hooters Girl.

We must remember this -- That Missoula County High School grad Regan Wilson was Playmate of the month back in '67! Now THAT was a proud moment for us! She is on the Coast and still thriving. These ladies help mitigate the scenery deficit pumped up by all the obese and sour females running around here. -- Phat Pat
Brittney finally made it onto face book lol!. Yes I am very proud of my daughter. No I didn't like the picture but I LOVE my daughter in the picture. Brittney is a kind and thoughtful daughter, and I am so so so BLESSED to be her mom. A story about Brittney... When she was about 10 or 11 we brought home a homeless lady. It was winter time. Brittney took her shoes off of her so she could put a pair of socks on the lady, and her feet were black. Brittney offered to give her a bath. When the lady refused she put socks and her shoes back on her. Also Brittney would visit the rest home with me while we would visit her friends mom who had ms who later passed away. Brittney had made friends with a man in a wheel chair who also had a broken leg. He always looked forward to seeing her. It made him smile. She would also climb in bed with the lady who had ms, and lay next to her. She did these things on her own. It is just in you to put others first and to care about how people are feeling. You take a beautiful picture!! Always know I love you, and I am so so proud of you!! You are so special to me and am very thankful to be your mom !!
