Watch Dan Deacon at Snow Ghost

Whitefish super studio Snow Ghost hosted Dan Deacon two years ago for a recording session, and Pitchfork.tv filmed the proceedings for a short doc. The video was posted months ago, finally, but we just found it—and embedded it below.

Snow Ghost, for those unfamiliar, does some incredible work, including sessions with Missoula's Victory Smokes and Wartime Blues. Deacon is an acquired taste, but pretty amazing if you're into experimental electronic party music. Pitchfork's doc includes some nice footage of Whitefish (squirrels!), as well as some of Deacon's off-beat humor [NSFW, language].

  • Pot is strong, bad

    Although I live in Maryland and not Montana, I feel a strong connection to the state because one of my sons spent two summers there playing minor league baseball, and because Montana, like Maryland, experienced the same trauma of having to fight the drug legalization movement.
