Missoula progressive radio fails again

A loyal listener of KMPT, Missoula's only progressive talk radio station, delivered the "shocking news" that the programming has abruptly changed to conservative talk radio. I think this makes it the Joe Lieberman of talk radio. And perhaps a bad omen for Democrats on Election Day.

Fans can confirm the news here.

I find it hard to believe that a town as liberal as Missoula can't support a progressive talk radio station. There must be something else going on. The Independent should look into this.

Thanks to the internet, you can still hear the progessive lineup here:
http://www.am1090seattle.com/ click on the LISTEN button.
Basically the same lineup that KMPT had.
I would rather have a station in town to listen to, but at least because of
internet streaming I do not have to take what corporate radio wants to give me.
