Bitterroot elections info

Posted by Alex Sakariassen on Thu, Oct 22, 2009 at 10:20 AM

We're not endorsing candidates in Ravalli County, but are still watching the races. And so far, it's pretty quiet leading up to Nov. 3.

Rick Scheele runs unopposed for Darby mayor, and mayoral races in Hamilton and Stevensville have yet to make a splash in local media. Hamilton mayoral candidate Michael Spreadbury remains the only one with any Internet presence.

The Ravalli County Elections Office has sample ballots for each town available here. A simple run-down of the upcoming municipal elections in Hamilton, Darby, Stevensville and Pinesdale ran in the Ravalli Republic on Oct. 15.

Separate ballots for a special bond election in the Stevensville School District will be cast Nov. 24. For more information, see the legal notice in the Bitterroot Star printed Oct. 21 or Ravalli Republic reporter Sepp Jannotta’s story from Sept. 28.
