You're already sick of Christmas music, I know. But how about beer, plus cheeky music that's about the holiday season? Maybe? Can you stomach that? If so, Chip Whitson and Bob Wire have come up with this Christmas video that takes place at the Northside Kettlehouse.
The video is for "Sha La La La (Don't Come Home This Christmas)" from their 2011 holiday CD Off White Christmas. It was filmed and edited by Gravity Productions and includes "Cousin" Bob Sularz on drums, the fantastic John Sporman on bass, Whitson on lead vocals and the ever-entertaining Wire on guitar and backup vocals. You will also notice a couple of familiar faces: the Kettlehouse's JR Roof doing some stellar acting and our own Skylar Browning at the bar in the background.
Speaking of holiday music, keep an eye out for tomorrow's paper, where Jason McMackin and Kate Whittle review some of the most recent releases—everything from John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John's new album to Hanukkah surf music. McMackin and Whittle told me they had a lot of fun doing it. Or did they say, "You don't pay us enough to listen to this shit." I can't remember.
